![]() Belden School opened its doors to students from Abraham Lincoln School in Glen Ellyn, Il on May 22, 2010. It was the first lesson taught since Belden School closed its doors in 1943. Once again, the lights of Belden burn bright in the classroom, bringing the school to life, just as it did back in the days of Abraham Lincoln, General Grant, and Peter McDugal!
Students enjoy recess by the creek just as they did in the days of yesteryear. The creek held surprises for the students that day…artifacts were rediscovered along the banks of the rushing creek from the spring rains. Did Peter McDugal break the teacher’s bowl when fetching water long ago? Have the pieces been buried for a century or more? Watch for the new adventures of Peter McDugal and Belden Boy coming soon!
